Where does ‘south platte’ come from?
It’s an homage to where everything began - on the banks of the South Platte River in Littleton, CO.
We were living there when I started filming weddings in 2015, and when we began our LLC in 2017. Since then, our video and business pursuits have taken us all over the US, including moving back to our hometown near Portland OR in 2020.
While many, many things have changed since those days, we want to remember our roots and all of the great memories we created during that season of our lives.
Spencer Trefzger

Spencer is the owner and founder of South Platte Weddings, and the eye behind what we make. He loves drawing out the natural beauty hidden in plain sight for clients, and is obsessed with making things better. He’s been filming weddings since 2015, and now teaches other aspiring videographers via his YouTube channel.
Outside of running the business, Spencer is an avid fly-fisherman and camper, as well as a proud dad. He loves Oregon football, trivia, card games, and road trips with his high-school sweetheart to adventuresome places.
Lyndsay Trefzger
Marketing/Assistant camera
Lyndsay is the personality behind all of our social media posts, and is a powerhouse at making connections and getting things done! She has a good eye for finding creative shots, and loves making our clients feel understood.
Outside of work, Lyndsay loves camping, being in the sun, and our adorable son Titus. She also loves to pull pranks on friends and family, though you won’t see that side of her on you wedding day!
Her and Spencer met back in high school youth group in 2008, and are still adventuring and falling in love together today.
